GM hopes the new cars will build off their predecessor's success, as the company accounted for one out of every three performance cars sold in the U.S. in 2012.

"Chevrolet customers have validated our performance credentials with their enthusiasm," said General Motors North America President Mark Reuss in a press release. "We're going to give them even more reasons to be enthused about Chevrolet performance, design and technology."

Some of the vehicles Chevrolet will showcase includes:

2014 Camaro:

The N.Y. Auto Show will host the world premiere of the new 2014 Camaro, which includes advancements in design and performance according to GM. The company stated this week that fans can still expect everything they loved about the vehicle despite the changes. The Camaro has been one of the most popular sports cars available for under $50,000 for three years in a row.

2014 Stingray coupe:

The brand-new Stingray was introduced this past January at the North American International Auto Show, and will not be on display in New York to celebrate 60 years of Corvette vehicles. The seventh generation of the sports car has been advertised as the "most powerful, most capable, and most fuel efficient" standard Corvette ever. With an EPA estimated 450 horsepower and 26 mpg on the highway, the new Stingray is one of the most anticipated vehicles to be released this year.

2014 SS sports sedan:

When the new SS model premiered in February at Daytona, it became the company's first V-8 powered, rear-wheel drive sedan since 1996. The vehicle is powered by a 6.2 liter V-8 engine rated at an estimated 415 horsepower. Interested customers can expect the new model to go 0 to 60 in just five seconds according to GM.

2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible:

The new Corvette Convertible was officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show this week and will be on display for U.S. fans at the N.Y. show later this month. Unlike other convertibles, the drop-top version of the Stingray delivers "an uncompromised driving experience" according to GM with almost identical power-to-weight ratio and chassis tuning to the coupe version. The convertible also features an electric top that can be lowered simply by pushing a button.
