Featured in the latest "Head 2 Head" episode, the Chevrolet Camaro 1LE vs. BMW M2 race was initiated to prove whether the former is, in fact, the fastest American muscle car on the market today. As reported by Motor Trend, there aren't any sports cars in the market that has the all-around features that the two vehicles possess. Although they weigh the same and have similar power capacities, the former has earned recognition in the market.

To begin with, the BMW M2 can generate 3,440 lb. on a 3.0L turbocharged I-6 engine. It has a power capacity of 365 hp., produces a torque of 343 lb.-ft., 369 on over boost, while the Chevrolet Camaro 1LE has 3,514 lb.-ft. on a 3.6L V-6 engine and 335 hp. powertrain. The recorded stats were too close to call that "Head 2 Head" dared to test which runs faster against each other. In fact, BMW was considered as the leader when it came to fun-to-drive cars while the Camaro was more recognized for its performance level. In the Chevrolet Camaro 1LE vs. BMW M2 race, has the better vehicle been ranked?

As reported by GM Authority, the V vs. I engine competition showed that the Chevy might be leading in the performance package, but the BMW had better torque generation. Although this would suggest that the BMW M2 had a chance at beating it at the tracks, the Chevrolet Camaro 1LE still reigned supreme as it did against the BMW M4.

The Chevrolet Camaro 1LE vs. BMW M2 race proved that the reigning American muscle car is still the legendary Bumblebee. However, the BMW M2 still showed that it stood a chance against the legendary champion.
