Car enthusiasts will be pleased to know that additional details about the 2018 Porsche 911 GT3 were revealed during the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The GT3 is indeed faster and more powerful, and it comes with a six-speed manual.

According to CarSnoops, while the 911 GT3's engine is the same size as the GT3 RS and 911 R, the 2018 Porsche's unit is "bespoke to the GT3" and is based on the engines used in the 911 GT3 R and the 911 RSR race cars. The 2018 GT3 weighs 3,153 pounds or 1,430 kg.

The 911 GT3's engine is mated to the standard seven-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission, and the 2018 Porsche can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.2 seconds with a maximum speed of 197 mph (317 km/h).

The best feature of the latest GT3 is the re-introduction of a six-speed manual in the vehicle. Once six-speed manual is selected, the GT3's weight changes to 3,116 lbs (1,413 kg). The GT3's six-speed manual also adds 0.1 seconds to the 0-60 mph sprint, but the vehicle's top speed also increases to 198 mph (318 km/h).

The 2018 Porsche GT3 also features a tuned chassis that was designed to improve handling and driving dynamics. Along with Rear Axle Steering, the GT3 also has a new lightweight carbon fiber rear wing installed.

The GT3 also boasts of a modified front fascia fitted that will optimize airflow. The 2018 Porsche will also have a new diffuser and tailpipes, while other visual tweaks include new headlights and taillights. The vehicle's cabin comes with the same steering wheel as the 918 Spyder, modified sports seats with 18-way electric adjustment, and an option for full bucket seats that come with fixed carbon fiber backrests.

The Porsche Communication Management (PCM) is also a standard feature of the new GT3. The 2018 Porsche will be available for $143,600 (excluding the $1,050 delivery, processing, and handling fee) at U.S. dealerships later this year.

The latest GT3 also comes with "a high-revving naturally aspirated" 4.0-litre flat six engine that can produce 368kW of power and 458Nm of torque: 5kW up and 2Nm down on the outgoing GT3 RS, per Car Advice. The 2018 Porsche also comes with dynamic engine mounts and a rear locking differential.
