For more than a decade, "Naruto Shippuden" has become one of the most popular anime worldwide, thanks to its fans and avid followers it became an all-time hit and reached where it was today. However, the well-loved anime may come to an end.

According to Droid Report, in the current episode of the "Weekly Shonen Jump", it teases that the finale of "Naruto Shippuden" will be aired on March 23. This is the 500th episode and also the 720th installment of the franchise. However, there are still no confirmation if this will really be the finale for Naruto. But with the on-going story arc of Naruto, it looks like the well-loved anime will really have its final curtain call as the episode that will be aired on March 23 is said to focus on the message of Iruka to Naruto as his wedding present.

It will be recalled that Naruto Uzumaki went to a head-on battle with his enemy Sasuke Uchiha following the 4th Great Ninja War. This nail-biting episode ended with the reconciliation of Team 7 after years of being apart. After the end of this episode, Naruto continued and adapted other series that focuses on other heroes like Shikamura.

The anime started adapting 3 other story arcs from epilogue novels from the Naruto franchise last December. These included the Naruto: Sasuke's Story then Naruto: Shikamaru's story which was aired last January and finally Naruto: Konoha Hiden which was aired last February.

Another indication that "Naruto Shippuden" might really end was the release of the teaser twitter introducing the finale song "Zetsu Zetsu" as performed by the band Swimy. Although many avid fans will surely miss the long-time running anime series, a new spin-off from Naruto will be coming in a few weeks time, Boruto: Next Generations. It will be aired on April 5 via TV Tokyo and this will definitely be a new adventure worth following.
