The current BMW 6 Series Convertible may be the last of its kind but it seems to keep at par with the upcoming 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet. Both convertibles offer comfort, elegance and the latest technology features. Depending on one's preference, each model presents its unique personality to drool for.

The 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet is longer, taller and wider than the current model yet still elegant looking. It looks sporty with its D-shaped headlights and dual strakes bulging from the aluminum hood.

Whereas, the BMW 6 Series Convertible looks sportier with its modern shark-nose front and sharp rear haunches. It also looks elegant with its sleek body lines, BMWBlog reported.

2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet's multilayer soft roofing folds in 20 seconds. On the other hand, the soft top of the BMW 6 Series Convertible opens in 19 seconds and closes in 24 seconds.

On the inside, the cabin of the new E-Class Cabriolet looks very luxurious and futuristic. Eye-catching is the widescreen digital display on the central console and its futuristic design. A touchpad can also be spotted, which has the ability to recognize handwriting when the user inputs its destination details.

The interiors of the new E-Class Cabriolet look very neat in its white skin accent. The leather seats have heating features. Controls for seat heaters and windows were also provided for rear passengers. Moreover, there are neck heaters as well for all passengers, Edmunds has noted.

Whereas, the cabin of the BMW Convertible appears to be very muscular with its dark skin. Although it also sports a widescreen display, the cabin contains the usual design.

The safety features include a forward collision warning system plus the automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection systems.

Under the hood, the new E-Class Cabriolet boasts of its 3.0-liter V6 engine with nine-speed automatic transmission. On the other hand, the BMW Convertible has 3.0liter TwinPower Turbo 6-cylinder engine with only eight-speed automatic transmission with manual shifting mode.

Finally, choosing between the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet and the BMW 6 Series Convertible depends on one's personal preference. Those who prioritizes luxury and elegance may opt to buy the former while those who prefer a muscular one may opt to buy the latter.
