Experts consider the CX-5 as a segment leader and have been the case for quite a good while. It is even solidified all the more as the 2017 Mazda CX-5 comes in freshly redesigned. The CX-5 is considered pleasing to the eyes, thus making a good first impression.

According to Motor Trend, the 2017 Mazda CX-5 may come across as nothing but a refresh of the current model. Well, this is the case for most. However, if one looks closely, the 2017 CX-5 is definitely more than what meets the eye.

Looking closely at it from the side will reveal a more raked rear end and slimmer taillights. Moving to the front, one will see that it has sleeker headlights and new corporate-looking face. It is also even more attractive as it comes with a chrome grille frame that outlines the bottom of the grille. It also has a new color option which is called Soul Red Crystal paint.

The 2017 Mazda CX-5 is created to be enjoyed by everyone. While some compact crossovers target a specific segment, the all-new CX-5 has something to offer for just about anyone who is into this type of vehicle.

It boasts of Mazda's corner-smoothing G-Vectoring Control for the driver's ultimate enjoyment. However, Mazda also has the passengers in mind. The cabin is impressive as it is significantly quiet. Comfort is also of priority as passengers will be treated with a comfort level that its competitors may not be able to match.

The 2017 Mazda CX-5 is officially available very recently in Japan just last month. Other global markets will be able to enjoy Mazda's upcoming CUV later in the year. It's just a matter of waiting which won't take long.

As added by Car and Driver, the 2017 Mazda CX-5 takes styling cues from the CX-9 and Mazda 3 and it nearly matches the dimensions of its predecessor. There is also a choice of three engines. It has the revised Skyactiv-G 2.0 and 2.5-liter gas and an updated Skyactiv-D turbocharged 2.2-liter diesel.

The 2017 Mazda CX-5 is expected to range from $23,000 to $31,000. The new CX-5 builds on the achievements of its successful predecessor in more ways than one. It amps up the level in terms of styling and driving experience which makes it a segment leader that it is. The design of its interior also boasts of class and refinement making it top of its class.
