Skoda Citigo: Driven by Something Different

Compact yet roomy, the Skoda Citigo is an ideal car both in and out of the city. What car? named the Skoda Citigo as the Best city car under £10,000 as part of the 2017 What Car? Car of the Year awards. The car is going to make its debut at Geneva Motor Show this year.

According to Express, "Skoda has updated the style of their Citigo model to keep up with its rivals such as VW Up! and Seat Mii." On the outside, it has a radiator grille, LED daytime running lights, refined bonnet, and fog lights that are redesigned. And on top of that, it has 15-inch alloy wheels. Skoda claims that they have created a compact car that is. attractive, safe, and good for the economy. It seems that the Skoda Citigo is the perfect vehicle for urban mobility. Skoda CItigo is available in four trim levels namely SE, S, SE L, and Color Edition.

There are two of different choices regarding the powertrain. "The entry-level engine is the 1.0 MPI with 60PS and 95 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm," the source further reported. With this engine, Citigo requires 14.4 seconds to go from 0-62mph, and it has a top speed of 100mph and averages 68.9mpg on the combined cycle. The second engine is a 1.0 MPI with 75PS and 95 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm. It takes 13.5 seconds to go from 0-62mph and has a top speed of 107mph with 68.9mpg on the combined cycle. Both of the engines are equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox.

 made a report on Skoda Citigo’s driving capabilities. It seems that Skoda Citigo has a stiffer suspension but it is still quite comfortable to drive. There is some wind noise coming in at higher speed as well. On the inside, the legroom is pretty tight since it’s a three-door variant of the car. Overall, Skoda Citigo has the potential to be the best first car for many drivers.
