2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S: 680 Horsepower Pumped By The E-Hybrid

The 2018 Panamera is the most powerful by Porsche in the series. It is all set to be introduced at the Geneva Motor Show. This is Porsche's answer to the green car demands of the times. The car is a plug-in hybrid.

The 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid can travel close to 31 miles using just electricity. With powerful engines to boast of, the car can zoom up to 60 miles per hour in 3.2 seconds. It can hit a maximum speed of 192 mph, reported Motor Trend. 

The 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid will also feature the company's latest luxury features. It will have a 12.3-inch touchscreen with the Porsche Communication Management system. The car comes with an air suspension, ceramic composite brakes, the Sport Chrono package, and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus reported Auto Blog.

The engines of the new 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid will churn out 680 horsepower. It also boasts of a 626 pound-feet of torque. The power to handle this is generated from a 4.0-liter 550-hp V8 and a 136-hp electric motor. 

This is coupled with a 14.1-kilowatt-lithium-ion battery. It takes about 12 hours to charge the battery. For charging, it utilizes 120-volt 10-amp plug. However, it can charge in lesser than three hours using a 240-volt, 40-amp socket.

The vehicle has a standard wheelbase. The price of the vehicle will start at $185,450. The vehicle will be available with the dealers by the end of the year.

The efficiency of the hybrid need not be advertised. The numbers associated with the engine and the components speaks volumes. So, we know for sure that the hybrid is a very capable machine in itself. With powerful engines and specifications to boast of, the 2018 Panamera has to live up to its title of being the most powerful Panamera by Porsche yet.
