"Grand Theft Auto 5" is being dragged to court by Lindsay Lohan after a bikini-clad character, Lacey Jonas, in the game resembled her. Lindsay Lohan accused "Grand Theft Auto" of basing a character of her likeness without obtaining any permission from her.

The cover of the video game also resembles the selfie that Lindsay had taken a while ago in a swimsuit making a peace sign. It is reported that Lindsay has been threatening legal action from 2013 and is demanding an undisclosed sum from the game.

New York's highest court also agreed to Lindsay Lohan's claims and allowed her to appeal her lawsuit against "Grand Theft Auto 5." The character in the popular game mostly spends her day fleeing the paparazzi and spends all her time at the Chateau Marmont, reported Daily Mail.

Earlier, the court had brushed aside the allegation of Lohan saying that the depictions in the game are purely a work of fiction which is satirically used. However, after a year, the court granted Lohan's appeal request.

The papers that were filed against GTA claimed that the character in the game closely resembled Lohan with her likeness, outfits, clothing and the overall general appearance. Also, the character requests another character to take her home to escape the paparazzi, reported WJLA.

Lindsay is not the only person who claimed that Lacey Jonas was based on her. Shelby Welinder also claimed that the character was based on her and she had actually modeled for the artwork for "Grand Theft Auto." She also has the pay slip as proof to prove her point.

The game makers for "Grand Theft Auto 5" were accused of violating the privacy of both Lindsay Lohan and Karen Gravano. Also, the game makers were accused of using their appearance inappropriately. The stars have not been notified about their identities being used by GTA and neither of them has been compensated too.
