Haas Formula 1 Launch Of New Car 'VF17' Confirmed Launch Date

Haas Formula 1 team announces launched date for its new car in 2017. The team revealed on Feb. 17, 2016, that its second F1 car, the VF17, is set to be unveiled on Sunday, February 26.

Haas F1 team is a Formula One racing team was established by NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Team and with its co-owner Gene Haas on April 2014. Its first debut came in the entry of the 2016 season. The Haas VF-16 is a formula one car designed by Italian chassis manufacturer, Dallara, and also powered by Ferrari debut in the 2016 Australian Grand Prix. Since then, it has accumulated 21 races with no wins.

According to planetF1, Haas would launch its new car the same time Red Bull and Toro Rosso would. It would be unveiled on February 26, a day before the start of testing of vehicles in Barcelona. Romain Grosjean, a previous driver of the VF16, who finished in sixth-place in Australia and fifth-place in Bahrain, is still set to be the driver of the new VF17.  Romain Grosjean would now receive help from newly partnered Kevin Magnussen, a replacement for Esteban Gutierrez.

Furthermore, AutoSport writes other confirmed F1 2017 Car Launch Dates. Other than Haas, Red Bull, and Toro Rosso to launch on February 26, McLaren and Ferrari would launch its cars on February 24. Renault would launch theirs on February 21, followed by Force India on February 22, and Mercedes on February 23.

How the FV17 is built still remains a mystery, but it is said to still have the looks of the VF-16 and have minor tweaks on certain parts.  Usually, Haas chooses the structure of a team client in Ferrari, resulting in with a near look design of the Ferrari's SF16-H. A notable comparison would also be the gearbox and suspension. Other than speculations, answers to the designed and built would be confirmed when it is launched on Feb. 26, 2017.
