BMW's first electric vehicle, the i3, is said to be refreshed this year with the BMW i3 facelift. Photos resurface of the BMW i3 in a camouflage skin as it hits the streets of Germany suggesting a few changes in the looks of the car. The BMW i3 facelift will be hitting the market by 2018 while another BMW, the i8 Spyder is in the making with a sportier look.

According to Insideevs, details of the i3 facelifted are still unclear as prototypes usually carry a camouflage feel or skin, hiding the refined details of the car. One thing that is noticeable with the car is that it hits the lower ground for a sportier ride. The i3 facelift also would have a wider body kit and wider wheels to give the owners of the i3 a more BMW ride.

Although the new i3 look is still unclear, reports suggest that there is a slight improvement in the vehicles horsepower and capabilities. It is suggested that the new BMW i3 would have a 168 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque.

This means that it would be able to run 0 to 62 miles per hour in 7.3 seconds and a top speed of 93 mph. The i3 will also get other improvements in being a more ergonomic cabin, new varieties of color, and a number of tweaking styles in the interior and exterior

Furthermore, TopSpeed writes about catching a glimpse of the i8 Spyder. The concept of the i8 Spyder first debuted on 2012. The prototype Spyder cruising did not show any significant details what its exact appearance would be when it will be launched, but it did have a "hybrid test vehicle" sticker on the fear fascia of the car.

BMW CEO Herald Krueger not only confirmed that the vehicle is in the works but also he had stated that production target would be early 2018. The BMW i3 facelift and the i8 Spyder will continue the "i sub-brand" for BMW, which has sold more than 100,000 electric vehicles.
