Finally! Verizon Wireless Now Offers An Unlimited Plan For 80 Dollars Per Month!

For many years, Verizon Wireless has been under attack from its rivals like Sprint and T-Mobile. T-mobile and Sprint have cut their prices, eliminating their monthly data limits and gave all kinds of freebies and even ran some nasty ad campaigns. Now, the nation's biggest wireless carrier is making a huge change on its data plans.

The wireless carrier just announced that it would launch its new Verizon Unlimited Plan, which offers smartphone and tablets unlimited data for $80 per month. The company confirmed that the plan would be available starting Monday, February 13, 2017.

The plan will be available to both new and existing customers. It will include support for streaming HD video, unlimited Mobile Hotspot data, but only for the 10GB per month come at 4G LTE, and after that, it cuts down to 3G speeds. The new plan will also include unlimited texts and calls to the US, Mexico, and Canada, and also 500MB a day of 4G LTE roaming in Mexico and Canada.

Ronan Dunne, company's president, said in a statement: "We're not limiting you to a single plan. If you don't need unlimited data, we still have 5 GB, S, M, and L Verizon plans that are perfect for you."

Meanwhile, AT&T offers an unlimited plan for customers who will subscribe to their U-Verse or DirecTV subscription video services. But according to Mike McCormack, Jefferies analyst, Verizon Wireless move could force AT&T to terminate the bundling requirement.

The company said it already upgraded its network for it to be able to handle the expected bump in traffic from the unlimited data customers. The company will also offer a free phone to every customer who signs up for the plan and trades in an existing phone.

The plan will be billed as unlimited. However, there is a little downside. The company stated that after each customer reaches a 22Gb threshold per month, data usage may decrease in priority behind other customers during network congestion. Sprint's limits are up to 23GB, and T-mobile gives 28GB before it will start managing each user's speed connection.

John Legere, T-Mobile CEO, tweeted that Verizon Wireless's new unlimited plan might be "most expensive ever," once taxes and fees are included. But a company spokesman confirmed that the cost of its new unlimited plan would not increase after a year.
