The iOS 10.2 Jailbreak was officially released by @qwertyoruiopz aka Luca Todesco. Unfortunately, it is not compatible with the iPhone 7 series and still in the beta stages. However, there are still a lot of advantages to downloading it despite the associated risk.
iOS Jailbreak is the term used when the software restrictions of an Apple device is removed. This is usually done through the use of software exploits and is available on iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and the Apple TV.
Jailbreaking a device will allow root access to the iOS file system. This will allow the downloading and installation of special additional applications, extensions, and themes that are not originally available through the Apple App Store.
The art of jailbreaking is not easy. And the latest iPhone operating system, the iOS 10, is not easy to track. According to Forbes, @qwertyoruiopz aka Italian hacker Luca Todesco was the first to release a public iOS 10.2 jailbreak.
First released in December of last year, Todesco's Yalu jailbreak came out in beta form with several bugs and stability issues. Regardless, it was still a valiant effort that was well received. Another downside was that the update only came in a semi-untethered form meaning a device needed to be re-jailbroken every time it was rebooted.
This was the same issue with the Pangu Jailbreak. The Pangu jailbreak was a public and widely used jailbreak tool from iOS 9.2 - 9.3.3. The tool was very convenient as it could be run via an app on the iOS device and didn't need to be reconnected to a PC. As a result, many users with a Pangu jailbroken device opted to stick with older versions of iOS.
BGR reported that the new iOS 10.2 jailbreak would open a lot of great tweaks for the iPhone. For those who are willing to accept the risks, thousands of apps and tweaks are available. YouTube user "iCrackUriDevice" put together a list of the top tweaks compatible with the latest jailbreak. His video can be found below.
Since its availability, the Yalu jailbreak has gotten a lot of negative feedback. Todesco has tweeted that he will no longer continue with public iOS research.

As a consequence, the iOS 10.2 jailbreak will remain in beta and will not be compatible with the iPhone 7 series.
