The Challenger vehicles seen in trailers for the upcoming movie The Fate of the Furious seem to actually be the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demons. The resemblance between the wide-body cars is actually quite uncanny.

Dodge initially stated that any resemblance between the Challengers seen in the trailers for the new Vin Diesel film and the upcoming 2018 Challenger SRT Demon is just purely coincidental, the result of the film studio's creative license. However, the latest teaser for the Demon shows a massive 45-square-inch Air Grabber on the hood which looks a lot like what is shown in trailers of The Fate of The Furious.
A YouTube video of Vin Diesel and a pair of wide-body Challengers with the Demon brand on the fenders surfaced online a while back. That video further fuelled speculations that the vehicles featured in the film are actually Demons. Fans will just have to wait until an official word on the matter is released.
Going back to the latest Demon teaser, the video shows the vehicle with a hole in its passenger-side inner headlight and another one on the driver's side apart from the Air Grabber on the hood scoop which the car manufacturer claims is the largest cold air intake hood on a production car. It should be noted that the Hellcat only has one and it's in the driver-side inner headlight. Dodge has not released any details on how much air that particular system would be able to suck in.
Also in the video is confirmation that the Demon will have a supercharged Hemi V8 engine under its hood. The video showcases the full-tilt roar of the Demon's V8 engine which comes off as more of a whine actually.
The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will be officially unveiled at the New York Auto Show this coming April. The car show will be held at the Javits Center from April 14 to April 23.
