The 2017 Cadillac Escalade is big and bold. It is a luxury full-size SUV that packs a lot of comforts, safety, and tech features. It is perfect for families and groups who put quality, comfort, and safety first.

Pros and Features. The full-size luxury SUV can seat seven. It also looks very attractive with its massive grille and heavily styled bodywork. Under the hood is a whopping 6.2-liter V8 engine. The engine is very powerful.

Inside, there is a luxurious cabin filled with a wide array of comfort and tech features. Expect a pleasant and quiet ride for passengers. Additionally, it also has impressive towing abilities that are unmatched by competitors.

Cons. Its truck-based chassis makes its ride quality less refined. The high cargo floor also makes loading rather difficult. The third-row seats are tight and uncomfortable even for children. Additionally, its infotainment system can be frustrating.

What's New? The 2017 Cadillac Escalade has some minor changes to the content and names of its trim levels. Other new features include a teenage driver monitoring system, automated system for parking, a rear passenger reminder, and an innovative rearview mirror with the camera view.

Models. The full-size luxury SUV comes in 4 distinct models: base, Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Platinum. Also, there is also an even larger Escalade ESV with an extended wheelbase, but it will not be covered in this review.

The base model includes 20-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights with automatic high beams, and rocker sill passenger seats. It also has a hands-free, power-operated liftgate, cargo rails on its roof, cruise control, a trailer hitch receiver, Magnetic Ride Control suspension, as well as keyless entry and ignition. The 2017 Cadillac Escalade also has front and rear parking sensors and a system for automated parking.

The Luxury model adds 22-inch wheels, adaptive headlights, sunroof, and forward collision alert with low-speed crash mitigation. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and lane keeping assist are also available. Also, there is a new rearview mirror system that uses the rearview camera to simulate an unobstructed view.

The Premium Luxury models add adaptive cruise control, a rear-seat entertainment system with HDMI and two wireless headphones. The range-topping Platinum includes power-retractable passenger seats, a cooled center console bin, premium leather upholstery, and dual rear entertainment systems.

Verdict. The 2017 Cadillac Escalade is an amazing ride for its passengers. It puts comfort, safety, and the latest cutting-edge technology first while remaining big and bold on the outside.
