Grammy-nominated R&B singer Frank Ocean was pulled over for speeding this week and faces a marijuana possession charge after police stated he was pulled over twice on the final days of the year in California. The singer was driving over 90 mph in a 65 mph zone according to the Associated Press.

"We're told Ocean was cited for marijuana possession, driving on a suspended license, and tinted windows," according to TMZ, who broke the story first. "Ocean was released on the spot, but his passenger had to drive him home - because cops confiscated Ocean's license."
Ocean was pulled over for the second time in December on New Year's Eve at around 4:30 p.m. as he was driving southbound on U.S. 395 going well over the 65 mph speed limit.
The car reportedly smelled like a strong odor of marijuana as a deputy approached his black BMW vehicle according to sheriff's spokeswoman Jennifer Hansen.
The deputy found a small bag of marijuana on the 25-year-old, whose legal name is Christopher Edwin Breaux, and cited him for marijuana possession. While he was momentarily detained in the back of a police car Ocean posted the photo to Instagram.
A California Highway Patrol officer gave Ocean a verbal warning about his speed and cited Ocean for driving with a suspended driver's license and for having tinted windows. Ocean's license was confiscated, and a passenger who was traveling along with Ocean was asked to drive the vehicle to their destination according to CHP Sergeant Andrew Thompson.
Some media outlets reported that Ocean was pulled over and detained because of his sexual orientation, but those reports were later disproved.
Ocean was nominated for six Grammy awards last month, including Best New Artist, Record of the Year, and Album of the Year.
