The Rolls-Royce Phantom's production has come to an end. The 7th generation Phantom was the last ever to be produced with the Phantom VIII soon to be made available and this is after 91 years since the first Phantom was released.

The Phantom VII. The Phantom VII has an extended wheelbase and is a model in Blue Velvet. It sports an ocean liner and twin coach line motif, pinstripe tires, and a silver Spirit of Ecstacy hood ornament. In fact, the Phantom VII's production was backed up by a Rolls-Royce collector pushing for a design based off 1930s ocean liners of which the patron had a strong fascination with.

The first ever modern Phantom's features included a subframe made out of aluminum for lightweight purposes, a 6.75 naturally-aspirated V12 engine, luxury coach doors. The vehicle's interior showcases tone-on-tone embroidery that is present across Power Blue leather, clocks in both the front cabin and partition wall which have been designed to mimic radio clocks with time zones on their bezels.

It took five years for a team led by designer Ian Cameron to update the Phantom's design and develop, engineer, and test the vehicle. Owners and onlookers alike will say that the team obviously did pretty well. The Rolls-Royce Phantom VII is still one eye-catching luxury vehicle even after its release more than a decade earlier.

BMW, who owns Rolls-Royce, was quick to offer a wide range of customization options through the Bespoke program. This is after executives endlessly spotted a growing number of personal and questionable makeovers of the vehicle at valet stands. The company decided that it would only be able to solve this through providing in-house customization services. As a result, this made the Phantom worth much more than the price of the sum of all its parts and production.

Rolls-Royce has proven to be a leader in luxury cars. Everyone is excited for what the Phantom VIII, which is set to be released later in the year, will offer since it pretty much has big shoes to fill.
