The Mobile World Congress is the biggest annual mobile show. The event is set to happen on from February 27 to March 2nd this year in Barcelona.

Every year, the MWC is home to most high-end mobile reveals. This year is expected to be the best one yet. With only a few weeks away, Auto World News investigated on what everybody can expect from the said event.

First thing's first, the Samsung Galaxy S8. For the past three years, Samsung used the Mobile World Congress to unveil its Galaxy flagship phones. While everyone is excited to see the latest S8, it might not make an appearance at the event.

According to a report from The Verge, Samsung is trying not to rush the S8's release to make sure the latest phone model doesn't have any manufacturing defects such as the ones Note 7 had. In the meantime, fans could settle with the new tablet from the company. The Galaxy Tab S3 failed to make its debut at the CES 2017 in Las Vegas which makes everybody suspect it will be introduced at MWC. However, it won't be shocking if the company did decide to go forth with the Galaxy S8's launch.

On the other hand, LG has confirmed it will hold its own press event at the conference. Many expect the company to launch the 5.7 LG G6 phone. The latest model is speculated to ditch the company's modular design. LG might even have a few surprises in the bag with some cool new features such as splash resistance, wireless charging, enhanced camera and more.

Sony is also expected to make an appearance at the World Congress. The Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation is expected to unveil two new Xperia smartphones at the event. According to Xperia blog, both the Sony G3221 (G32XX) and Sony G3112 (G31XX) will make their debut.

The HTC 11 will also be a highlight during the event. HTC's flagship phone is expected to have a 5.5-inch QHD edge-to-edge screen. It will also have a metal body, a Snapdragon 835 chipset and an enhanced 12-megapixel enhanced camera. The HTC 11 will be equipped with a 3700mAh battery.

Nokia is also in the lineup. After the release of Nokia 6 in China (and selling out after 1 minute), the company is expected to launch the model to the rest of the world via the Mobile World Congress. The anticipated Nokia 8 is also expected to make its debut.
