Like it turned out, Volvo’s appeal is only skin deep. Even though there is no denying that 2017 Volvo S90 makes a stylish statement inside and out, It needs to match its European, Asian and domestic rivals in refinement and performance.

According to Yahoo, it does not matter if in the daily grind or on long distance trips, the new 2017 Volvo S90 falls short. The gruff-sounding engine marks the driving experience is with constant vibrations coming through to the cabin. When it comes to handling, this car is secure in corners but it is uninspiring. Even though it has the most powerful engine, the S90 will take more than 7 seconds to complete the 0-60 mph dash and the eight-speed automatic is not very smooth.

The iPad touch screen required too much swiping and tapping which is a major distraction for the driver. But, on the positive side, the 2017 Volvo S90 got amazing 23 mpg overall. The cabin has a lot of space. It is made with aluminum trim and buttery soft leather wrapping. However, much of the advanced safety technology is standard.

Today, trucks and SUVs are dominating on the marketplace, according to Fox News. The new 2017 Volvo S90 is not a sports car but with its 316 turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine it comes with a $53,945 price tag. It also has all-wheel-drive models and it is effortlessly powerful.

The new 2017 Volvo S90 offers a collection of semi-autonomous features it calls Pilot Assists. They use cameras to track the lines in the road and radar to follow the car in front of it. The backup system will allow you to relax a little and not relinquish total control. Also, when you hit the turn signal to pass the car will speed up a little so you won’t have to touch the accelerator, just the steering wheel.
