Classic Cars - Aston Martin DB6 Is The Fastest Classic At A Reasonable Price

The Aston Martin DB6 is one of the most well-known classic cars to date. The DB6 is the successor of the DB4 and DB5 if it weren't obvious.

At the London Motor Show in October of 1965 history was made - the Aston Martin DB6 was announced. It boasts a remarkable improvement from its predecessors from the exterior features to the interior.

The DB6 has the Kamm tail rear spoiler improved its high-speed ability. Other than that, there was also a split front and rear bumpers. The DB6's oil cooler was also redesigned in the front balance. According to Aston Martin's website, the DB6's specifications are as follow:

£ 4,998 (Saloon) coverts to $6152 USD, £ 4,194 (Convertible) converts to $5162

The DB6 used an all-aluminum, dual overhead cam straight-six engine which pas paired with a ZF 5-Speed or a Borg-Warner automatic. It's a 4-liter engine which produced 325 horsepower and 295 lb-ft. of torque. This made the Aston Martin DB6 one of the fastest cars money can buy. 

It even goes from 0 to 60 in just 6.1 seconds - a classic car going 60 in 6.1 seconds, flat. It can go up to a top speed of 148 miles per hour. 

Several famous owners include HRH Prince Charles, the Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Twiggy and Peter Sellers. Now, the classic DB6 is considered as a collector's item and can only be bought from private collectors and auctions.
