Apple has seriously considered upgrading their line of MacBooks. A recent note revealed that the Cupertino-based giant will release updated versions of their Macs complete with Intel's latest Kaby Lake processor with 32GB of RAM.
According to the most current research note from popular Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is set yet again to release upgraded versions of its Mac notebooks. Kuo, who is based in Taiwan with KGI Securities, also said that these next-generation MacBooks will feature Intel's new Kaby Lake processors as well as 32 gigabytes of RAM in the 15-inch models.

Kuo also stated that a new 12-inch version of the MacBook will begin production sometime in the second quarter of 2017. Meanwhile, the 13-inch and 15-inch models will begin production in the following quarter. These models could be equipped with 16 gigabytes of RAM as current design architectures prohibit going beyond the 16-gigabyte limit.
Intel's Skylake processors limit the 2016 MacBook Pro models to only 16BG of RAM. Apple would need a desktop-class RAM if it intends to offer a 32GB model. In fact, a rising number of professionals have voiced out that the 16GB mode is not enough for a high-end notebook.
The updated model might just answer their prayers. Kuo mentioned that a 15-inch model featuring 32 GB of memory will begin production in the final quarter and will be aimed at high-end users, according to The Verge. It's still unclear whether this version will fall into the "Pro" category or just simply adopt the Macbook label.
Kuo also says that this model will probably be "the most significantly redesigned product of this year," as reported by MacRumors. The analyst added that he believes it will be utilizing desktop-class RAM to cater to high-end users. But other than a faster processor and increased memory capacity, all other specifications will remain the same as the equivalent 2016 models.
The new Kaby Lake processors will also be power-efficient, Kuo believes. The processors hence will be a factor in the latest models desirability.
An increased number of shipments are predicted with year-over-year growths of about 10 percent expected. Faster shipments are also being targeted as production delays in the 2016 models have been resolved.
Although the exact dates as to when the new Apple MacBook models will hit stores, Kuo expects that the 32 GB of RAM models will launch in the second half of this year. This means that prices for the 2016 models could significantly drop, signaling the entry of the 2017 models.
