Lamborghini has recently confirmed the start of production of the Urus SUV car. The company has launched its entry into the SUV market and the new additions to its car lineup points to new direction it has taken in the last two years.

According to Motor Authority, when one visits the showrooms of Lamborghini cars, he will find some changes in the company's naming strategy. The changes in the Lamborghini 2017 car lineup are quite noticeable.

To the 2017 Lamborghini Huracan, the Rear-Wheel Drive Spyder has been added. The Spyder has a new exterior design and is powered by a V10 Lamborghini engine that drives the rear wheels.

The lightweight roof of the convertible RWD Spyder easily retracts in just 17 seconds. The new Lamborghini Infotainment System with 12.3-inch high-resolution TFT display is installed in this model.

Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Super Veloce Roadster is an addition to the 2017 Aventador model.  The 750-4 is practically a race car that can go from zero to 60 miles per second in 2.7 seconds with its V12 engine.

Another addition to the 2017 Aventador coupe is the LP-700-4 Miura Homage Special Edition which is the forerunner of all V12 Lamborghini super sports cars made for the 50th-anniversary tear. Only fifty units of this model have been produced and more than half have already been sold. The Aventador S has introduced changes in its looks and changes in external design have improved performance.

To the Lamborghini LP 750-4 Super Veloce is added a special edition car, the Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4. This car commemorates the birthday of Ferruccio Lamborghini, the founder of the company and is a little different from the LP 750-4 Super Veloce.

The slight changes in design in the special edition Centenario are mostly functional.  The front and rear fins, cooling air ducts, and adjustable rear spoiler all contribute increasing aerodynamic efficiency. All these changes in the 2017 Lamborghini car line-up point to the new direction the company has taken the last two years.
