First Look: 2017 Triumph Street Triple

This year, Triumph reveals triple models from Street Triple which is poised to take over the motorcycle world occupied by its competitors Yamaha FZ-09 and MV Agusta Brutale 800.  Motorcycle enthusiasts will be amazed by the new improved Triumph models to be launched soon.

Triumph introduces its new line of Street Triple with new and incredible variations featuring the enhanced R; street smart S and the corner eating and track ready RS. They are all powered with Daytona 765cc inline 3-cylinder engine which is specifically tuned for each model. It offers more torque and power as compared to its predecessor. The engine boasts with new parts which include pistons, crank, and aluminum plated barrels.

Each Triumph Triple model offers different levels of performance, technology, suspension and power. With the Street Triple S, it has a maximum power of 111 hp at 11250 rpm. There are 2 ride modes which are rain and road and instrument cluster display that shows the engine speed, the position of the gear, and the level of fuel just to name a few.

The Street Triple R has an engine performance of up to 116 hp at 12000 rpm. Its ride mode has a programmable rider and sport mode and the ABC can now be disengaged using the rider mode. While it shows the same cluster information display as the model S, it also shows instantaneous and average fuel consumption, coolant temperature, and a few more others.

On the other hand, the Street Triple RS is track ready and has a 121 hp at 11700 rpm. It has the same feature display as the R but has the addition of a lap timer. The unique thing about the RS is that it has a standard fitted quick shifter that can be used as clutch-less upshifts.

Overall, the all-new lines of the Triumph Street Triple are more aggressive, have improved body works and a sportier look. Each of the models has different release schedule and the price is expected to be around $9,900 as its base
