Two new JBL docks were revealed this week by Harman that include the capability to connect to the newest like of Apple devices like the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini according to the company's website.

Other devices that the dock can be used for include the updated 4th generation iPad and iPod range.

Both docks are advertised as having a better sound quality and a better looking appearance compared to docks released last year for Apple products.

The JBL OnBeat Micro will be priced at $99 and is the smaller of the two docks that will be released. The device is small enough to fit inside a backpack or purse according to JBL and works on either battery power or by using an AC adapter.

The Micro, which has a USB connector for powering and playing devices, can be used to dock any smaller Apple device including the iPad mini. Anyone who tries docking anything bigger than that will have a difficult time however which is why the company created the JBL OnBeat Venue LT.

The Venue LT, which is priced at $199 on the JBL store has a hidden lightning dock behind the company logo and is made to be used with any Apple device as well. The device is described as "ideal" for the 4th generation iPad and new iPad mini.

The device can work with Harman's TrueStream Bluetooth streaming technology as well. This essentially means eight different devices can connect to it.
