2014 Ford Mustang And Shelby GT 500 Guides Released, Mustang Boss 302 Says Goodbye (SEE ORDER GUIDES)

If the leaked order guide for the 2014 Ford Mustang is true, the critically acclaimed Boss 302 version of the vehicle will not be returning next year. The company stated in the order guide to prepare yourself for a completely revamped Mustang in 2015.

The Boss 302 was introduced this past year and featured a 5.0-liter V8 engine, a functional body kit, and an adjustable track-tuned suspension for just $42,995 according to the Ford Motor company.

It has been a known fact since the summer that changes were expected for the 2014 Mustang, but no one knew exactly what would be coming until the Order Guides leaked earlier this week. The end of the Boss 302 comes as some surprise, as the car has been praised by critics and buyers alike, mainly due to its classic 1969 feel.

Despite all that though, after just two years in production, the car will meet its end.

Some other changes to expect for the 2014 Mustang includes more colors deleted like the Red Candy Metallic with Tinted Clearcoat, High Performance White, and the Yellow specifically used for the Boss 302. New colors that will be added in 2014 include Ruby Red Metallic with Tinted Clearcoat and Oxford White.

A FP6 Appearance Package will be as be introduced in 2014, which will contain 18-inch aluminum wheels, painted black decklid spoilder, quarter window louvers, and painted black outside mirror skull caps.

Expect the addition of the FP8 Appearance Package as well, which includes: quarter window louvers, painted black decklid spoilder and mirror skull caps as well.

The order guide for the Shelby GT500 was also released this week where it was revealed the company will be making some minor changes to that vehicle also.

Heated seats will now be a standard in all newly released vehicle models the company states in the order guide, except for vehicles that have Reacro seating. New colors that will be introduced include Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat and Oxford White.

The SVT Performance Package will be introduced in 2014 as well. This package will include 19 inch aluminum wheels, front and rear springs, front and rear stabilizer bars, and a new gear shift knob.

The SVT Track Package which will only be available on Coupes with 821A and will contain a new cooler with pump, a new transmission cooler with pump, and a external engine oil cooler.
