On November last year, Google's Daydream View Virtual Reality headset came out in the United States. It gave fans the chance to experience a whole new world within their smartphone screens.

Indeed, Virtual Reality changed the way users watch movies and play games entirely. Two months after its release, Google announced another VR headset. This time, the headset will be developed by Huawei.

The Chinese mobile giant is taking steps towards helping Google expand the Daydream family. This means that the latest Google Daydream VR will not only work on Google's Pixel phones, it will also work with third party smartphones.

On their blog, Google announced the development of the said Daydream headset. According to the Vice President of Business Operations for AR and VR, Amit Singh, there will be a broad range of mobile phones ready for the Daydream headset.

On their blog, Singh wrote, "Huawei has been working on a Daydream-ready headset for launch at a later date. The Huawei VR headset is built to be easy to use. It has an adjustable focus so it can be utilized without eyeglasses, and provides a 95° field of view. By bringing new headsets onto the Daydream platform, we hope to give consumers even more choice in how they enjoy VR."

As of the moments, there are very few details regarding the VR. According to reports, Google's motion controller will be compatible with the new headset. Huawei is scheduled to release more details regarding the headset later this year. The announcement will also cover the latest Google DayDream VR's release date, software, and price.

According to CNET, Moto Z, Huawei Mate 9 Pro, ZTE Axon 7 and Asus ZenFone AR are amongst the listed phones compatible with the Daydream VR. Each phone brings a different experience to users.

Google's Pixel phones, naturally, will automatically get the latest Android updates as soon as they are made available. Moto Z, on the other hand, will have the option to attach Moto Mod accessories.
