The Acer Predator 21 X is a 19.4 pound "laptop" with all the bells and whistles every computer enthusiast could possibly dream of. It even has a 21-inch curved screen, with a 21:9 ratio. The fun part is,the Acer Predator 21 X price is at $8,999.

This massive gaming laptop was last spotted at IFA this summer and during the recent CES 2017, everyone had another chance to take a closer look at and observe its monstrosity. If someone has personally experienced the Acer Predator 21 X, it's a safe bet he or she can say that it simply is ridiculous and at the same time awesome.

Acer Predator 21 X Specs

Inside the Acer Predator 21 X is an Intel Core i7-7820HK. Its graphics is powered by an Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 packed with 16GB of GDDR5X Video Ram. Its RAM is composed of 64GB DDR4. The hard drive might be a bit little as it only is 1 TB by default but it has four extra slots for solid-state drives. These alone should give anyone all the power they could possibly need for about anything they'd want to do on a PC.

The monstrous laptop has a 21-inch, ultra-wide, 21:9 display that can support up to 1080p. It has a 120Hz refresh rate that can cater higher frames per second requirements. Though the screen is humungous, it will still look sharp when taken a look at personally. The Acer Predator 21 X's curved screen serves as an added bonus as it captivates the user's field of vision, perfect for FPS gaming.

With regards to audio, the Acer Predator 21 X is packed with a six-speaker system. It has four speakers and a couple of loud-ass subwoofers powered by Dolby premium. The Acer Predator 21 X can also take awesome images via its 720p HD webcam. On top of that, it has a built in eye tracking system called Tobii EyeX. The Acer gaming laptop is also equipped with a mechanical keyboard which is a fad today.

Acer Predator 21 X Review: Cons

As observed, there are no 'pros' heading on this article as the previous paragraphs already are good points for the Acer Predator 21 X. One of the cons is that it has an 88 watt-hour battery, quite smaller than what is currently being spotted on newer gaming laptops. With that said, everyone will expect that this monster needs to be plugged in most of the time when used.

Another con is the size itself. When bringing along the Acer Predator 21 X in public, it would seem that the owner is planning to launch a nuclear striker. The keyboard only occupies half the chassis so based on that, the reader should be able to gauge how big the gaming laptop is.

The weight would be another issue as it would be a hindrance to the fact that it is built to be portable. 19.5 pounds is a lot of weight to carry around so if one plans to get an Acer Predator 21 X, it is expected that mobility is not really good with this gaming laptop. A practical use would be to transfer the laptop within a planned schedule rather than the usual pickup-and-go style of today's laptops.

Lastly, the first thing to be considered before getting an Acer Predator 21X is the price. It costs $9,000 and with today's fast-growing technology, something better is bound to happen sooner or later. With that said, if one has a spare change of nine grand, then it's completely fine to get one. More Acer Predator 21 X information can be found here.
