The 2017 Consumer Electronics Show is coming and expectations are already quite high. The annual technology fair to be held in Las Vegas, often brings several launches of smartphones, Smart TVs, appliances and other amazing gadgets. This year is no different. Intel Kaby Lake, AMD Ryzen, HDR PC Monitors, Self-Driving Cars are just some of the things to be seen. Check out all the techs to see at the upcoming CES 2017. 

AMD Ryzen vs Intel Kaby Lake

Intel has been the unchallenged queen of PCs for more than a decade, but AMD has decided to get into the fray with the new AMD Ryzen which will be present at the CES 2017. AMD claims that Ryzen is 40% faster than its current PC chips, which is impressive on paper. The chips will hit gaming PCs first and then most popular laptops and desktops by the end of 2017. It notes that the processor is expected to cost less than $1,000 than the Intel Core i7-6900K.

On the other hand, the Intel Kaby Lake, the seventh generation of the brand's processors, will also be at the CES 2017. There's already a lot known about the processor including significant increases in graphical performance, decreases of energy consumption and performance jumps in processing. A healthy rivalry between the two giants will be good news for PC users, according to PCWorld.

Television / Monitors

CES 2017 is often the grand annual stage for the launch of new smart TVs with huge screens. This year, Smart TVs and handsets with 4K resolution will make way for models with 8K resolution. Another trend will be the High Dynamic Range technology or HDR PC Monitors, which improve the color and image contrast and have been used in consoles like the Xbox One S and streaming services.

LG may surprise people with its OLED TV Wallpaper. According to rumors, the device has a flexible screen, only 1 millimeter thick, and can be fixed to the wall by means of a magnet. In addition, leaked documents indicate that the company will launch models of different sizes - 55, 65 and 77 inches. Fans of Sony can also expect new OLED TVs and Android TV.

Smartphones

It should be recalled that CES is not the event in which the most recent mobile phones are usually presented. However, certain novelties are expected for this year including the LG K series. Asus could launch the Zenphone 3 Zoom, too. Samsung on the other hand will launch their Galaxy A line according to Engadget. An important announcement for CES 2017 is that the Chinese company Xiaomi will be presenting for the first time in this event. The company announced the presentation of a product but has not revealed what it is yet but rumors point to a smartphone.

Electric and Self-Driving Cars

Automakers are no longer companies that can participate at CES. Its relevance in the event is such that its announcements are already the most awaited news each year. Iconic brands like Mercedes-Benz, Ford, Volvo, Chevy, VW and Kia have news to show for CES 2017. Meanwhile, Faraday Future and Honda already have their bets on.
