Porsche announced this weekend that the new 2013 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S with 550 hp can now be purchased inside the U.S. for a price of over $146,000.

With an upgrade of 50 horsepower compared to the previous Cayenne Turbo model, drivers will be able to go 0 to 60 in under 4.5 seconds. The car also profits from an increased engine torque, which is up from 516 in the previous model to 553 pound-feet. This means the car will be able to go faster and reach a higher speed than the previous model.

The vehicle tops out at 175 mph which is three miles faster than the previous Turbo model according to the Porsche press release.

The Turbo S is also comes with the Sport Chrono package, which includes an analog and digital timer displayed in the center of the dashboard. The performance display was designed to inform the driver of the vehicle about the total driving time and distance covered so far during the trip.

The car has many optional features as well, including the Power Steering Plus feature, Porsche Active Suspension Management, and the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control feature. A customer can also ask for the Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus option which, along with the PDCC option, improves traction thus making the car more agile for different driving conditions the driver may face according to Ford.

Some of the other features you can expect to find on the new Turbo S includes new headlamp casings, 21-inch wheels, and dual twin-tube sport tailpipes in polished Aluminum according to Ford.

The cars will be released in two possible leather interior packages for customers to decide on. The options available include a Black/ Luxor beige combination or Black/ Carrera red.

The new vehicle will be released in the spring of 2013 and will make its debut to the world at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show in November.
