Lucid Motors News: Company Founded By Former Tesla Employees

Lucid Motors was founded in 2007 by former employees of Tesla Motors and Oracle. Among the heads of the company is Paul Rawlinson, the chief engineer who worked on important projects such as the Tesla Model S. Not only that, according to Lucid Motors News, in recent years many other important personalities from known car brands such as BMW had also transferred to Lucid Motors.

That is why it has created a working group with a high profile in all fields. After Tesla, we are facing one of the startups with a more solid basis to reach fruition and achieve their goals.

Lucid Motors News: Mechanical, Range and Autopilot

Lucid Motors has been developing for a long time a powerful system consisting of two electric motors capable of throwing a capacity of approximately 1,000 hp according to DigitalTrends. Although we doubt that this figure is to be transferred to the production vehicle, it is clear that the sedan will make Lucid Motors the rightful competitor to the Tesla Model S and its ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds.

Both electric motors will be connected with a pack of batteries of 87 kWh which will give this sedan a range of more than 480 kilometers. They even partner with Samsung to create a powerful battery, according to AutoBlog. Moreover, past Lucid Motors New have leaked some information indicating that its top version top version will improve the range of up to 620 kilometers.

However, Lucid Motor News also confirmed that the company is not planning on putting an autopilot system on their electric car. But it will be equipped with a lot of driving aid systems as good as the 2017 BMW 5 Series.

Recent Lucid Motors news still doesnt revealed the official name of this EV but when the company is still called Atieva Motors, they called the EV, the Atvus. But it remains to be seen whether this name will be used or if it will be rebranded.
