How to NOT get banned from using Uber

Trusted car service, Uber, is now making Uber community guidelines clear, not only for its drivers, but also for its passengers. While everyone has the ideas on what a driver should and should not do as shown in their advertisements and given, of course, in their trainings and publicly posted regulations, it is not the same for the passengers.

That is why, according to autoblog, Uber is publishing a set of community guidelines which states US policies for both driver and rider behavior for the first time.

Here are some of the set policies from the actual list of UBER Community Guidelines:

Respect each other - from the courtesy of not shouting, slamming the car door, or swearing, to tidying up and respecting differences and respecting each other's personal space.

Safety first - the usual: no texting while driving, no drunk-driving, no bringing of firearms, all for the safety for both the driver and the passengers.

Supervision of children - Uber rider accounts are for adults only and if a child uses the account, the parent or guardian needs to be with the child during the ride.

As for the Uber riders, actions which threaten the safety of the drivers and riders shall be investigated, and, if proven, may result to deactivation of their account. Here are some of the reasons in losing rider access to or getting banned from using Uber:

Damaging drivers' or other passengers' property.

Physical contact with the driver or fellow riders.

Use of inappropriate and abusive language or gestures.

Unwanted contact with the driver or fellow passenger after the trip is over.

Breaking the local law while using Uber.

The idea of Uber community guidelines all boils down to respect and safety for both parties, the Uber driver and the Uber rider, as it encompasses everything from verbal communication to actions, without compromising quality and a pleasant ride for both the driver and the passenger.
