Marvel has a lot of movies set to be released in upcoming years, but one of its most anticipated movies is the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2". An overwhelming new trailer has been released, centering its intergalactic story on Star-Lord's (Chris Patt) and his team --- at the same time, unveiling new members: Nebula, Yondu, and Mantis; Yondu (Michael Rooker) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) are from the first movie, while Mantis (Pom Klementieff) serves as a key character in the sequel.

Yondu, a humanoid being, was something of a secondary antagonist in the first movie --- tracking down and planning to kill Star-Lord. However, in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, he will be a full-fledged member of Star-Lord's team. It has also been confirmed that Yondu will be a great ally since his weapon can make a quick grind on many enemies. Fans have been rooting that he deserves more screen time; thus, his increased role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is a well-received improvement.

Nebula, a blue-skinned, cyborg assassin, was not the main antagonist in the first movie, but she was seen as one of the enemies. Nebula is one of the many characters returning for another round in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but her role is ambiguous --- still a villainous force or might now serve as a hesitant ally, according to Cinema Blend.

As for Mantis, a key character in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Executive Producer Jonathan Schwartz ambiguously teases her dynamics on the team. He said that she learns from the Guardians how to deal with people --- which is a weird group to learn social complexities from. It is said that she used her powers to make the other team members follow Star-Lord, which when revealed, separated the team into two, according to Screen Rant.

In the sequel's trailer, shown last July at the 2016 Comic-Con, Ego (Kurt Russell) was revealed as Star-Lord's father. In the comics, he was a talking planet; but for the upcoming movie, he will be appearing in human form.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will be hitting theaters on May 2017. Check the video below for the official trailer.
