Jeep Compass, a C-segment SUV, which was unveiled during the LA Auto Show held November 18 and to be released next year was predicted by FCA to be a bestseller both in the US and UK.

Although this vehicle may look like any other SUV, the Compass has more to offer. Designed for rugged terrains, this SUV can go a long way. Power options include a 1.6 litre diesel with front wheel drive and six-speed manual or a 2.0 litre diesel with 138bhp or 168bhp with a six-speed manual or nine-speed auto and four-wheel drive, according to Car Magazine.

For people who prefer to explore the wilderness, the Trailhawk version of the Compass will be the best option, which can be considered as the best vehicle for rugged terrain. It has a Select Terrain System, which will enable the car to navigate rocky paths and descent elevated areas smoothly and safely.

The vehicle features three touch-screen systems and two dashboards and the interior is made comfortable by luxurious leather seats.

With all these upgrades, FCA is sure that this SUV will turnout into a best seller, according to Jeep CEO Mike Manly.

No specific information about fuel savings has been released yet but it is estimated that the Compass will consume a gallon per 1 mile, according to FCA.

With its design borrowed from the Renegade and the Grand Cherokee, its price will be close to the average price of these two vehicles.

Jeep Compass will be a global car as it will be produced in different parts of the world. Most of the models will be built in Toluca, Mexico ; Pernambuco, Brazil; and Guangzhou, China while the right-hand models will be made in Rajangaon, India. With the Compass built in various parts of the world, it is bound to have a global reach.
