Much to the relief of tech buffs, latest reports debunked speculations hinting that Microsoft will oust its popular Surface Pro lineup. Multiple reports suggest that Microsoft's next flagship, the Surface Pro 5, will be released next year alongside another flagship, the Microsoft Surface Phone 2016.

However, a mounting evidence acquired by German Windows-centric site, Dr. Windows, suggest that HP is working in collaboration with Microsoft to develop a robust Windows 10 smartphone.

The report further confirms that the Microsoft Surface Phone 2016 will be the completely re-branded Lumia lineup. Moreover, the device will fall heir to Lumia's best features such as Glance, ClearBlack screens, and a whole lot more.

On the other hand, the Redmond-based tech giant has kept complete details about the purported Microsoft Surface Phone 2016 under wraps.

There's hearsay that the company internally unveiled a smartphone that is slated to hit the store shelves in Feb. 2017. These stirred conversations among tech pundits regarding the Surface Phone's release date and features it will boast.

Meanwhile, rampant rumors suggest that the smartphone will debut along with the long-awaited Microsoft Surface Pro 5 tablet-laptop hybrid. If speculations proved to be true, the Microsoft Surface Phone 2016 and the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be announced at MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2017. Alternatively, it is likely that Microsoft will opt to take the wraps of these gadgets at a separate launch event.

Microsoft recently rolled out refresh updates to the Surface Pro 4, puzzling consumers as the tech firm seems to be postponing the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date.

During its recently concluded Windows 10 event, Microsoft introduced the brand new Surface Book i7 and Surface Studio as part of the Surface clan. There is a possibility that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date was postponed to ensure the spotlight stays on the said devices.

Consumers who were able to buy the Surface Studio following its recent launch will have something to cheer about soon.

Apparently, Microsoft has commenced shipping those pre-orders. According to reports from MSPowerUser, some early buyers have already received an email indicating that their package has been processed.
