During the Paris Auto Show last September, the Peugeot 3008 was revealed. The SUV would be available in January 2017 where the price would kick-off for the dealership at £21,795 which is  more expensive than Nissan Qashqai and SEAT Ateca.

The Peugeot 3008 SUV was built on a Peugeot's new platform which is the EMP2 where the car maker would be releasing nine new models by 2021 under this program. The platform saves weight that made the 3008 around 100kg lighter that makes the car more fuel efficient than other models. The cheapest engine model would be the turbocharged 1.2 liters Pure Tech 3-cylinder petrol engine. This engine produces 129bhp and 117g/km CO2 and it is available in a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic gearbox , according to AutoExpress

This SUV is full-packed with technology, starting with the i-Cockpit display that replaced the dashboard dials into a 12.3-inch colored screen. Another feature is the autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning system, and the traffic-sign recognition. The said features were given by the Euro NCAP full five stars for crashworthiness for the Peugeot 3008. The 3008 is recognized as an SUV because of the new raised height and bold front end. There are plenty of chrome with shiny metal around the grille and fog lights. Another eye-catching feature is the front protective skid plate.

There are also creases abound on the bonnet and down the side of the car. Sharp headlights were neatly carved into the front bumper. Rugged appearance of the SUV is observed because of the black plastic cladding around the wheel arches and also at the bottom of the doors. The car's roof is somewhat like floating because of the roof and roof support design with contrasting colors, according to Carbuyer.

Peugeot's 3008 would surely be one of the best options buyers are having on their minds for 2017. This is because of the five-star  superb crashworthiness features.
