The Ford Focus RS that is sporting with Michelin tires is making waves in the motoring industry.

New Ford Focus RS that was first released in Europe has now come to the U.S. shores. The cars from the factories come with pre-installed 19-incch forged aluminum wheels, the Michel Pilot Sport Cup 2. The tires boast of exotic rubber that is well known worldwide.

Because of its prestige, the tires alone can amount to $1500 for a set of Cup 2. This means, the Ford Focus RS that comes with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 is already a great deal. But aside from the price, the Michelin tires also enhanced Ford Focus' performance on the road, according to reports.

The exotic rubber on the tires is known to be more 'aggressive' thus the increase in performance is evident. For example, a full stop from a 70 mph speed would yield 154 feet. The lateral acceleration is also commendable; it can jump from below 1.00 g to 1.04 g. This allows Ford Focus RS to perform better laps. However, the accelerative performance remains at 0 to 60 mph in about 4.6 seconds and 13.4-second quarter-mile despite the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

The most obvious advantage of using the aggressive and sticky rubber is its increased performance in roads. The tires have the capability to adhere to every road anomalies and obstacles like bumps and cracks while the body rolls smoothly with the help of a reliable suspension system. But in a well-maintained and streamlined racetracks, it will yield the best results that most car racers dream of.

But using the Ford Focus RS with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires on less-than-ideal public roads also has its setbacks. It tends to vibrate a lot if the driver goes too fast, thus maintaining a lower velocity and speed makes it quieter to drive.

Nonetheless, the car also has the capability to adapt to the driving conditions that can result in a more favorable driving experience. However, most car enthusiasts base their car compatibility with the maximum speed a certain automotive model can deliver.

In the end, there are mixed reviews about the performance of Ford Focus RS but the negative reviews do not implicate the Michelin tires. Having the top-notched tire system on the deal with the new Ford Focus RS is actually a steal! It's the car's performance and speed that somehow dampens the reviews. But despite that, Ford plus Michelin tires is not a bad deal at all.
