Technology and gadgets are all around, name it and everyone wants it. However, battery issues are one of the problems of consumers in their gadgets. Need not worry about owning a Surface Pro 3, because battery issues have been resolved, thanks to a firm update.

So, what is Surface Pro 3 and what are its common battery issues that owners are experiencing?

The Surface Pro 3 is the third-generation Surface series 2-in-1 detachable, designed, developed, marketed and produced by Microsoft, which runs the Windows 10 Pro operating system (OS).

However, the Surface Pro 3 is way too different from its older version, the Surface Pro 2, because it's not a direct copy of Version 2. The Surface Pro 3 is a new model of the two older versions that were released by its manufacturer, Microsoft. It hopes that the Surface Pro 3 is the tablet that can replace the widely and commonly used laptop in all possible way.

As Microsoft greatly hopes that Surface Pro 3 is the right tablet that can replace the laptop, what could have gone wrong with the batteries? What cause this battery issues and how can it be resolved?

Gadget experts and Microsoft itself have diagnosed the symptoms, causes and over course the treatment for the Surface Pro 3 battery issue.

One of the concerns of Microsoft is that most Surface Pro 3 owners don't know the cause of its battery issue, and would likely end up hopeless on the problem. In addition, Surface Pro 3 owners don't know the simple remedies to their battery problems.

This issue has been a standing dilemma to Surface Pro 3 owners and caused manufacture's product quality issue. Moreover, according to International Business Times, the battery issue was extremely worrying both Microsoft and users of Surface Pro 3.

In order to address the issue and eventually inform Surface Pro 3 owners, Microsoft posted the symptoms and causes of this problem. According to Microsoft, its is only a limited number of Surface Pro 3 owners find that their battery no longer holds a charge, and looks like the battery capacity has been gone. And when the power is plugged in, the Surface Pro 3 is working just fine, but when it's unplugged and being used, the battery runs out quickly than expected.

Microsoft further explained the battery issue using a comparison to a car's fuel gauge. A car's fuel gauge helps the driver determine how much to fill the tank. In this case, if the fuel gauge isn't working right, the car would also not be able to fill the tank the right amount of fuel needed to keep is going. Thus, this is what happened to the Surface Pro 3 battery capacity. When the battery capacity indicator in the system can't identify how much battery power is needed or left, then this will lead to a power issue.

Microsoft immediately addresses this battery issue by diagnosing the main cause. It was soon found out that it is more of an operating system and firmware issue than the expected battery issue.

A "System Firmware Update - 11/7/2016" is now being used by Microsoft as a treatment for Surface Pro 3 battery issue. The "System Firmware Update - 11/7/2016"  has been described and believed one of Microsoft´s greatest devices that gave great revenues and allowed it to compete against the well-known Apple's iPad Pro, which is Microsoft's biggest competitor in the market.

Surface Pro 3 Update is available for all its users worldwide. Microsoft posted information to help users how to get the update. Microsoft believed that that "System Firmware Update - 11/7/2016"  is the treatment and solution to Surface Pro 3 battery issue.
