A BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition was launched immediately by BMW after Marco Wittmann won the 2016 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) Championship Title at the Hockenheimring yesterday. Check out all the details below.

BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition Specs

The appearance of the car is as fierce as the designers wanted. Design elements M Performance meet its goal perfectly, demonstrating that with a few tweaks, the M4 can get scarier than it is already. Aesthetically this special edition wears many details in carbon fiber, with new aerodynamic touches. A splitter, some canards, side skirts, prominent rear spoiler, new shape mirrors and the addition of OLED lights to the rear .

It will also have the tires used by the GTS but this time, the orange accents have been put aside to dress completely in matt anthracite tone. These tires have a size of 19 inches in the front and 20 inches on the rear axle axis, covered by a rim with measures of 265/35 285/30 front and on the back.

But developments have not focused only on the body because the interior also receives awesome changes. Being a DTM car, the M4 must go to match the theme, and therefore two seats with four - point harnesses are installed. M sports steering wheel is also installed, and a roll cage that takes the place of the rear seats , as already happened in the BMW M4 GTS.

As for its powerful engine, the car will have a 6 - cylinder with water injection GTS and performance increased to up to 500hp on the rear axle with over 600 NM of torque as reported by Carscoops. The increased power allows performance data are excellent allowing an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 305 km / h.

BMW M4 DTM Champion Edition Price

BMW has been commissioned to create a limited series of 200 units of the championship edition which will have awesome styling as mentioned above and a very powerful engine.

Knowing that only 200 units will be made, the price wouldn't come cheap. The price will start at 148,500 euros according to BMWblog. It is a price higher than 50,000 euros for a conventional M4 but will all be worth it as it is a price to pay for honor, glory, power and exclusivity.
