The brand new 2017 BMW K1600 B motorbike has experienced an extreme overhaul as the vehicle has been customized as an American touring bike at the Peterson Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.

Motorbike enthusiasts first saw the majestic BMW K1600 GT last 2010 which was equipped with a six-cylinder engine along with the GTL model without making it as big as it's supposed to be due to all the added specs. However, just this week, BMW has introduced a brand new model of the franchise: the 2017 BMW K1600 B.

As reported by Digital Trends, the brand new model was created for the purpose of displaying it during the American Grand Tourer, a Concept 101-based event as inspired by the 2015 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. It was labeled as a customized bike which showed the BMW Motorrad's loyalty to the make and models of big bikes in the American market.

The Exteriors

The 2017 BMW K 1600 B was showcased in an all new black façade along with its black chassis parts and drivetrain. It also had a drop-shaped bagger ensemble which paraded as a "streamlining" style that had deep-set side cases and integrated taillights. Furthermore, the silencers were also chrome-plated while the rest of the design was inspired by its predecessor.

The Engine and Specs

The vehicle is powered by a six-cylinder motor that was first seen during the K1600 GT version. It has a capacity of 160hp and 175 pound-feet of torque. Furthermore, it also has an electronic suspension that has adaptive dampers that worked with the Dynamic Traction Control system. Plus, it also has a Road and Cruise modes wherein the former would adapt to all traction when the road surface varies while the latter is more concerned with providing the motor rider with a smooth ride with mellow damping.

In other news, Slash Gear reported the model is also able to generate 160 horsepower along with 7,750 RPM.

The Model Inspiration

The 2017 BMW K1600 B was inspired by the concept of driving down a big bike by an endless highway. By virtue of the Vision 100, BMW was deemed to participate for 25 more years into the industry, especially since the majestic model was on full display at the envy of motorbike enthusiasts.
