The 2017 Maserati Ghibli has just been unveiled at the Paris Motor Show 2016, having small changes on the exterior but awesome new features and changes inside, not to mention an increased power of 20hp. With more o-board tech and a new driver assistance system, the beautiful Italian sedan is now more impressive than ever.

Exterior Remains Attractive

The exterior of the new Ghibli doesn't have a lot of changes but remains extremely attractive. The main change is only the addition of two new versions, Luxury and Sport, which emphasize the sporty or luxurious car with a lot of added details and inserts such as carbon fiber.

A new Sport package brings 20-inch Urano polished wheels, red brake calipers, Maserati’s trick Skyhook adaptive suspension, 12-way power sports seats, and a sports steering wheel. At the other end of the scale, the Luxury package gets 19-inch Poseidone wheels, black brake calipers, Zegna silk trim or full-leather upholstery, and 12-way power seats.

The Revolution is Inside

Inside the Maserati Ghibli 2017 are awesome changes, especially in the dashboard, which was redesigned to accommodate the new multifunction 8.4-inch touchscreen. This new entertainment system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to improve maximum connectivity.

All versions of the new Maserati Ghibli also mount a new air quality sensor, as well as a new driver assistance package, which includes adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function, blind or brake automatic emergency sensor: view camera 360 is optional.

As for the engine inside, powering the Ghibli and the Ghibli S is a Ferrari-built twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox. This increased its power by 20 hp from its predecessor, reaching 350 hp already while the "S" version increases its power to 410 hp, enough so that it can accelerate from 0 to 100, with four-wheel-drive, in 4.8 seconds. As for the diesel versions, there are two, rated at 250 HP and 275 HP respectively, boasting 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque each.
