Supercharged Rebel TRX Concept Boost With Hellcat V8 Engine, Knocks Raptor Off The Spotlight?

Dodge has redeemed itself to be the best provider of fast off-road truck vehicles in the market today as it showcased the Ram Rebel TRX model at the Texas State Fair this month. Installed with a supercharged V* engine from the Hellcat, the truck boosts of 575 horsepower.

Dodge has garnered itself the top car maker to generate vehicles that boosted of power, particularly when the Dodge Challenger Hellcat twins had been dominating races this year. Despite the continuous success, Dodgeintroduced yet another product of theirs that dominated another market segment in performance vehicles, the Dodge Ram Rebel TRX.

Power Capabilities

As reported by Auto Blog, it was revealed during the Texas State Fair this week that the Dodge Ram Rebel TRX model has better performance than before as it is installed with a supercharged V8 engine taken from the 2016 Dodge Challenger Hellcat twins. Although the latter boosts of 707 horsepower, that of the off-road truck was only recorded to generated 575 horsepower. Still, the supercharged engine is 125 horsepower more than the bran new SVT Raptor model which proved that it can run up to 100 mph in an off-road terrain.

Off-Road Specifications

According to Car and Driver, the model's truck graphics package is inspired by the Power Wagon.its color scheme a bright red. In fact, the body is six inches wider than that of a standard 1500 with larger composite fenders that covered its tires properly. It also has vented and scooped hood by RAM HD which improved its cooling mechanisms. Furthermore, it has larger sports bar which enabled it to carry pairs of spare tires and is powered by a LED light bar on top of the roof as well.

With a big steel skid plate on its front exterior, the six-exit exhaust behind the Dodge Ram Rebel TRX doors showed that the connection between ends improved the vehicles aerodynamics.
