Mercedes Raising The Bar In Automobile Industry, Confirms Creation Of Hypercars Ongoing

During the 2016 Paris Motor Show, Tobias Moers revealed that a brand new Mercedes Benz hypercar is currently under works and would be the most expensive and spectacular AMG model by the time it gets released. Furthermore, the model will also have features that are similar to the brand's F1 vehicles.

Tobias Moers, the head of AMG which is currently working with F1 engineers, announced during the 2016 Paris Motor Show that they are currently producing a Mercedes-Benz hypercar that will have similar qualities to the F1 racing automobiles of the brand but will remain as a road car.

As reported by Motor Trend, Moers revealed that the said vehicle would need two years of production which hinted that it may be released come mid-2018 or in 2019.

The Upgrades

The said Mercedes-Benz hypercar will be a mid-engine two-seater. A snapshot of the model was showcased at the event which also showed that it will have carbon fiber chassis and its body would be manufactured which such feature as well.

The Adjustments

Since the model is to be a road car, the brand had customized the Mercedes-Benz hypercar to have lesser speed compared to its 1.6-liter inspired V-6 hybrid of F1 vehicles. Despite the decrease in speed, Moers revealed that it will still generate more than a 1,000 horsepower.

In other news, Fortune reported that the Mercedes-Benz hypercar would stand as a unique model that embodies both the F! race cars and road sports car features all wrapped into one, according to Thomas Weber, a Daimler board member for Mercedez Benz.

The said creation of the Mercedes-Benz hypercar is expected to boost up sales of the brand along with the Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster featured at the 2016 Paris Auto Show which is an open-top version that generates 476 horsepower engine.
