The 1000th Lamborghini Aventador has rolled out of the company's plant in Sant' Agata.

According to InAutoNews, the $312,000 Argos Orange model will find a home in the driveway of Bavarian architect Hans Scheidecker, who already owns a Lamborghini Diablo.

The Aventador, which went into production 15 months ago, reaches its thousandth unit in record time. As CarsUK reports, that is half the time of Lamborghini's Murciélago, which took two years and five months to reach 1,000 units. With 4.5 produced a day, there is an 18-month backorder for the Aventador.

The website says, "Italy has no money, and nor does most of Europe, but Supercars still sell even when they have a list price of £253,000 [$396,556] - and at a greater rate than ever before."
