2016 MacBook Pro Release Date

That, however, makes the perfect setting for rumor mongers to cry hoarse with predictions and speculations. For instance, word on the tech street is that the mega Sept 7 Apple event wont yield the new 2016 MacBook series after all. Instead, it is expected to be dedicated more to the new iPhone 7. The closest we can have on this is a mention of the new MacBook Pro devices during the iPhone 7 launch event, claimed MacWorld.

Rather, the October event which is when Apple is slated to launch the new iPad makes for a better setting to launch the new series of MacBook Pro devices as well. So much for all the confusion regarding its exact launch windows, what is almost a certainty is that it is coming this fall itself.

2016 MacBook Pro Features

As for the likely new features to look forward to in the upcoming MacBook device, the one that tops the list is the new OLED display positioned above the keypads where the Fn keys are usually located.

The thin strip of touch-sensitive OLED screen would serve to provide the latest system info such as the name of the app that is open, what media is being played, copy/paste functionality for open documents and so on. The same is also likely to host the Touch ID sensor that would serve the dual purpose of a start button besides also authorising the user as well.

According to BGR, Other hardware changes to look forward to with the new MacBook range include a slimmer and lighter build. The MacBook already comes across as a slim and sleek bunch and the same for the productivity oriented MacBook Pro is something that die-hard Pro fans do look forward to. That apart, the new MacBook Pro is also expected to feature at least one USB Type-C port too.

Specs wise, the 2016 Pro devices seems set to get the new Intel SkyLake chips along with AMD Polaris chips for enhanced graphics processing. The latest macOS Sierra too is expected to be part of the 2016 MacBook Pro package as well, analysts claim.
