Jay Leno And Tim Allen In A Drag Race: 850 HP Sleeper Camry Vs A 5.4 Liter V8 '55 Ford Coupe

Jay Leno and Tim Allen both have a lot in common - they're comedians who take pleasure in making millions of people laugh, love fast cars and creating various shenanigans whenever the opportunity presents itself.

This was proven when the veteran TV talk show host invited the Hollywood actor for a bit of drag racing on the tracks. But instead of playing fair and drive in stock cars as they had agreed upon, both resort to using some sneaky tactics to try and beat each other for first place, Road and Truck reported.

On the day of their scheduled race, both seemed to have stayed faithful to the guidelines, with Allen showing up with his stock 1955 Ford Coupe Fairlane, while Leno decided to use a plain old 1966 Dodge Coronet that has been equipped with a 426 Hemi.

Before the two could proceed with the race, however, Leno sensed that Allen was pulling some dirty tricks up his sleeve. Thus, he pressed the actor to open up the hood, revealing that Allen ditched the factory-installed engine for a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 coming from the Ford GT from the previous generation.

Not wanting to let this dirty scheme go by without doing some dirty tricks of his own, Leno naturally "excuses" himself for a few minutes to change his stock car for his "wife's" Toyota Camry. But when he makes his return, it is revealed that the Camry has been furnished as a nitro-huffing, tube-frame, drag-racing machine with an 850-horsepower, according to Auto Blog.

Leno's car was the same car that Toyota used during the (Specialty Equipment Market Association) SEMA Show back in 2014, with the car manufacturing company's motorsports chief Steve Appelbaum admitting that it was the "most extreme build" they presented for the show.

It wasn't revealed as to who actually won after the race was finished, but viewers and fans can take delight over the slapping match that ensues towards the end.
