Some people have owned recalled cars. Nowadays, more car manufacturers have a dilemma with these recalls but according to the news, the recalls of the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is getting out of control.
From the report of SlashGear, they have stated that there are about 410, 000 vehicles that have different problems such as wiring harnesses. This issue could result in an even bigger problem to the company because this can cause a sudden loss of the action of propelling.
However, on the brighter side, these problems have not caused any crashes or injuries related to the crash.
Chrysler 200, Jeep Renegade, and Ram Promaster City vans which are all 2015 models are the models that are involved in this recall issues. Moreover, the FCA have also been recalling the other models such as 2014 and 2015 Jeep Cherokees.
These vehicles are mostly found in North America, 323, 000 can be found in the U.S. and 35, 000 of these can be found in Canada. The other 52, 000 additional vehicles are found in the different parts of the world.
The main problem is found in the wiring and system software. These things are commonly involved when one is taking their vehicle to the dealer.
The wirings will be replaced with new ones and the system software will be somehow updated to the latest version.
The manufacturer though has not yet announced the time on when the recall repairs will be available, they will surely notify when they are ready to repair or replace those defective components. Good thing is, the service is free.
If someone has recalled vehicles, it is best for them to stop to the safest area. They have to turn off the engine and then turn it back on and eventually the vehicle is said to be fine.
However, one must remember that when turning the electronics off, the first thing to do is to settle it for a few seconds before starting it again. This is just like resetting the CMOS in the laptop by turning it off, removing the AC cable or pulling out the battery.
It can also be compared to unplugging a confused cable modem. In conclusion, in experiencing recall, one must park in a safe place, turn the ignition off, start counting from one to ten and turn the ignition on again.
