The Aston Martin Vulcan features an all-new chassis, according to Motorward. It has a new rear scuttle and tunnel for the integrated roll-cage. There is also a new gear sub-frame that contains the transmission, suspension and added loading from the rear wing of the car. Carbon fiber was used throughout the chassis to keep the Vulcan lightweight and incredibly stable at the same time. the raw tub was made by Multimatic and has a weight of about 180kg.

The Vulcan’s engine was designed and created in a collaborative effort with Aston Martin Racing. The naturally aspirated V12 unit was enlarged to 7.0 liters and includes a new block, liners, conrods, pistons and crank that are all controlled via a Cosworth ECU.

The engine sits fully behind the front axle to improve weight distribution and provide dynamic performance. The engine also has 3-position adjustable power outputs that let the driver feel the enhancement in performance as they improve their skills on the track.

The gearbox of the Aston Martin Vulcan was provided by Xtrac. The 6-speed transaxle sequential gearbox can be controlled using paddles mounted on the steering wheel, and not attached to the steering column. The 600E gearbox also features straight-cut gearset and drop gears. The 70-kg gearbox also has better steel grade and unique gear ratios, housed in a lightweight aluminum casing.

Finally, the front suspension features a double wishbone setup controlled by a pushrod mechanism, while the rear suspension involves independent double wishbones that are still controlled by a pushrod mechanism. The suspension setup also features front and rear anti-roll bars and adjustable dampers.

The two Aston Martin Vulcans are still waiting for a buyer in the meantime.
