Pininfarina Debuts Ferrari-Like Tractor At Agritechnica Fair In Germany

Pininfarina, which has designed some of Ferrari's best-looking vehicles, has unveiled a gorgeous cherry red concept Zetor tractor that has the same feel as a sports car, according to the Daily Mail.

The tractor, which debuted at the 2015 Agritechnica Fair in Hannover, Germany, is the product of a collaboration between the Italian design firm and a Czach tractor manufacturer. The project was born out of Pininfarina's vision of a farm vehicle with the sleekness of a sports car, but without the speed.

Traditional tractors like the all-American John Deere tractors tend to have the form follow the function. However, this Italian tractor was sculpted with a sloping bonnet and sinewy creases in the fenders, reported Yahoo! Autos.

The two-tone paint distinguishes between functional area -- the dark area highlights the technical elements -- and the rest is finished in red, noted Auto Evolution. The influence of competitive motoring is seen in the sloped side panels covering the mechanical components.

Pininfarina said that the concept is a preview for the new Zetor flagship, adding that it will take care of the full range of the tractor maker in the future.
