The Buagtti Chiron prototype has apparently been spotted on a test drive in Italy, as Instagrammer Erico Hessel captured a photo of what looks like a Bugatti test mule and posted it online, reported Mashable.

The test car looks more like a production-ready version of the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo, which made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, according to Road & Track magazine.

Beautifully designed, both the Vision GT and the Chiron have similar conceptual looks to their predecessor, the Veyron.

The rear of both luxury two-door cars look very similar. Both models feature "horseshoe" character lines and have air intake and a flying-buttress pass-through design, R&T noted.

The 2017 Bugatti Chiron concept shares the moniker used by a concept back in 1999, according to In Auto News. The hybrid megacar has a projected maximum speed of 280 mph (450 km/h) and can travel from zero to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) in a little over two seconds.

The powertrain deployment has been suggested to have a refreshed 8.0-liter W16 quad-turbo fitted with e-turbo technology and delivers up to 1,500 PS (1,103 kW).

The Bugatti Chiron's price is still unknown, but it is projected to be in the range of 2 million euros, reported In Auto News.
