Marvel Adds 2016 Audi R8 to 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Through CGI Rendering

We hate to be the bearer of bad news Audi fans, but the brand new 2016 Audi R8 was not used during filming for the highly-anticipated Marvel movie "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Since filming for "Avengers: Age of Ultron" took place before the 2016 R8 debuted, Marvel will instead work its magic to make the R8 look like the new model through CGI rendering, according to Audi's YouTube page.

Here's a video of "Avengers" executive producer Jeremy Latcham confirming the previous R8 was actually the one used during filming as Tony Stark's personal ride of choice.

"We're doing a lot of work in post," said Latchan in the video. "We'll be doing some CGI work to make sure we have the most up-to-date, newest Audi."

Marvel should have no problem making the previous R8 look like the one that Audi had on hand during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. They do a splendid job making the Hulk look like a menacing beast after all, so the R8 should be a piece of cake, right?

We hope Stark was able to use one of the new R8's engine options at least. The 205 mph 610-hp 10-cylinder would come in handy if Loki or any other villains showed up.

Audi announced earlier this month that the 2015 A3 Cabriolet and 2015 TTS will also be featured in Marvel's new movie.

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" reaches theaters on May 1, according to IMDB. The movie features stars like Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, and more.
